saw chan's latest post and now i can't stop thinking about how the pictures are extremely nerd!chan universe's bangchan coded.. specifically, they're the type of photos chan would post the day you guys finally get together, on the first day he gets to call himself your boyfriend at last.

he's long dropped you off at home and is still reeling from the excitement of everything that's happened after the game, not to mention that he was so giddy to the point he ended up texting all his friends about everything that happened, making sure to repeat how he finally, finally!!! got the girl of his dreams at last. his joy is to the extent that when he gets home, he can't stop thinking about you, thinking about how you sounded and felt, thinking about the way you'd straddled his lap in his beat up car, thinking about how you'd kissed him breathless, just thinking about you.

when he's in the safety of his room behind locked doors, he positively melts against the wall, crumbling to his feet with a lovestruck grin on his face as he repeats everything that went down an hour prior and quite literally changed the trajectory of his entire life if he's being honest. when his phone pings with a message, he's immediately shooting to swipe for his texts, giggling at the sweet messages you've sent him to remind him once more that you love him and can't wait to see him tomorrow. he'd reply back with a goofy smile and kick his feet, of course, before impulsively making the executive decision to once again, stalk your instagram.

when he pulls up your account, his heart clenches against his chest, because there you are, plastered all over the feed with your beautiful features that he's fallen for over the last few months. the way your hair cascades over your shoulders, how your face is lit up and beaming in every post he looks through, your uniform or even casual clothes clinging to your body perfectly in specific uploads— everything about the way you are makes him feel dizzy in the head. he genuinely can't fathom the fact that you're all his starting today and onwards.

the next day when he sees you, he thinks he might ascend onto a different dimension. he's all dazed and in awe when he approaches you, softening at the way your eyes brighten after falling on his figure, watching with honey dripping as you parade up to and crash into him with your arms wrapping around his waist on instinct, no less in public. when he hugs you back, he can smell the familiar scent of your perfume and shampoo mixed together, burying his face in an effort to cling onto you like he's often dreamed of. though he's a bit pouty when you eventually pull away, he thinks you you make up for it by leaning up to press a gentle kiss to his cheek and grabbing his hand to drag him away for a late lunch date.

the hours pass with you and him spending as much time as you can together to make up for however much you'd lost avoiding each other and sneaking around in private previously. chan does his best to pay attention to what you're rambling on too, something about your professor marking you down for a test when you'd answered correctly, but he truly can't seem to focus with the way he's so down bad for you. everything you do, everything you say, everything you are in general makes him want to swoop in and kiss you silly.

so, he does.

it catches you off guard when he leans over the table you're both sat at and connects your lips together, but you're no stranger to his affection (okay, maybe you are a little), so of course, you kiss him back, giggling against his mouth with him. he thinks your laughter might be his favourite sound in the world.

as the sky turns to orange with the sun dipping down, chan allows you to tug him around campus, going with you to the library to pick up a book you needed for your class and accompanying you to the university cafe where he insists on paying for your drink. you both eventually end up back in your dorm, with you letting it slip mid-conversation that karina would be at her parent's house today. the seemingly little tidbit makes him freeze in his place, but he brushes off the lewd thoughts entering his mind in favour of continuing the impromptu and innocent study session you decide to hold in the middle of your side of the room. he tries, he really does, to concentrate on the material he should ideally be preparing for his next exam, but you look so cute focused on the text you're busy highlighting that he can't resist reaching over to graze his thumb over your palm softly. you look up at the sensation of his touch, cheeks tinting pink at the way your boyfriend is staring back at you.

and so, it doesn't take very long for the two of you to get back into locking lips once more, chan hovering over your sprawled out body as his mouth ghosts the skin of your jaw, neck, collarbone, shoulder, everywhere. you swear he's gotten more bold ever since you started dating, but one glance at the burning red of his ears is enough to make you chuckle. when he asks you what's so funny, you simply shake your head, wrapping your arms around his neck to yank him in for another kiss that leaves both of you practically levitating.

chan makes quick work to have you cumming on his face after that, languid swipes of his tongue flicking against your clit and swirling at your entrance as you let out the cutest whimpers he's possibly ever heard. when his wet muscles wraps around your sensitive nub and sucks, you see stars, clenching around nothing with your juices gushing down his chin as you spray everywhere. when your boyfriend rises to meet your gaze, glasses fogged up and stained with your release, looking like he'd descended from heaven itself, you can't stop the meek "need you inside, please" that leaves you from escaping. it makes his eyes widen, but he's stripping off his clothes in record time at your plea, causing you to laugh quietly in the darkness of the room, save for whatever light is streaming through the curtains.

when chan finally does enter you, despite having done so multiple times, you gasp. you still get butterflies from the feeling of his cock stretching you out, and he still can't shake off how his stomach swirls in delight at the way your warm walls basically suck him in. he moves slowly but surely, deep thrusts hitting every right spot that has you keening and shaking under his hold. his words are barely above whispers, filled with nothing but loving remarks and reminders of how much he adores you and can't believe you're his. he babbles about how lucky he is to be yours, and how he's never going to let you go, to which you breathlessly huff out something about how you'd never want to go anywhere anyways. that sentence coupled with the way your doe eyes blink up at him is enough to send him hurdling to his climax, triggering your own. you both lay there in the comfort of each other's arms for a while after that, snuggling into one another's skin and exchanging short kisses.

it's only after a few moments pass that chan gets up to clean you off, tugging his clothes back on along with the glasses he'd tossed on your bedside table before wiping you down with a wet cloth. the way you look at him as he tends to your needs makes him flush bright under your gaze, which only has you tittering and sitting up to kiss him once more.

by the time everything's done and he has to go home, chan lights up with an idea, lacing your fingers in his and rushing you outside the doors of the student accomodation. he flashes you a grin that makes you weak in the knees, ruffling his hair to slide his hat on before passing you his phone and posing for the camera. you're confused what this has to do with anything, but you click the pictures for him anyways, heart fluttering at the way he beams at the lens, or rather at the fact that you're the one behind it. when you're done, he thanks you with a smooch to your forehead, shrugging off his jacket to wrap it around your frame despite it being one too many sizes big for you. he buttons you up to the end, throwing his head back at the way you look so tiny compared to the clothing you've got on, which only makes you roll your eyes regardless of the smile that creeps up on your face at his joy.

it's only when you've said your goodbye's and shared a last few kisses of the day that you find yourself back in bed, wrapped up under chan's clothes and inhaling the scent of his cologne that brings back memories of today. when you open your phone, you're hit with his notification in an instant, eyebrows furrowing in confusion when you read him asking you to check his instagram but doing so anyways. you think your heart stops when you see what he's referring to.

chan had tagged you in the photos you'd taken a few minutes prior to seeing him off, but not just that, he'd captioned it too—

hot infatuation floods your system at the words he'd used, and for some reason, it dawns on you now of all times that chan is yours. he's yours. all yours. you can't stop the smile that graces your features at that realisation, replying back to him with something cheesy. safe to say, you drift to sleep that night with thoughts filled of your precious boyfriend.

in conclusion, chan may be smitten, but you're just as bad as him, it seems.

Reading Transformers: Dark Cybertron Vol.2 (#7-12)

Well. I guess I have another comic to add to my to-read.

I've been ignoring anti anons but since you're not technically an anon I'll respond though my guess is you're still acting pathetic and posting under a burner account rather than having the balls to post as your real self.

Feyre once called the Spring Court her home.

Elain once wanted to go home to the human lands.

What makes you think, when the definition of home changed for both Feyre and Elain already, that Elain's true home can't end up being somewhere other the NC?

She didn't want to be in the NC in ACOWAR. She didn't choose the NC as her home. She ended up there by default because she had no choice. She had no choice but to find friends in Feyre's inner circle. Had no choice in males outside her mate aside from the one single guy in Feyre's inner circle.

Elain's experiences after being turned now consist of elderly fae and the people she's met through Feyre. Those are not real choices, are they ? It's choosing from a very small pool of people and you can't cry how she's finally found where she belongs when she's seen the tiniest percentage of what actually exists in her new world. Especially when none of those people encourage her growth and actually try to hold her back from doing more. With family and friends like that why have enemies?

And honestly, don't play dumb. You're the same people claiming Elain will have something to do with the Dusk Court though absolutely nothing supports this whereas Lucien was literally connected to Day in ACOWAR. Just because he doesn't know yet doesn't mean it's not still his birthright 😂. The power still sleeps in him even if it hasn't fully been revealed. Sarah didn't remind us of this secret in ACOFAS if she didn't plan on writing about it when Lucien gets a pov. Also, in case you're forgetting Lucien is now permanently stationed in Spring. It's almost like.. hear me out.... him in the human lands wasn't going to be his forever home but simply Sarah giving him a place to reside temporarily until it was time to continue building his story.

And he has crossed paths with Helion, they were literally at Starfall in SF at the same time. Lucien gives reports to Feyre and Rhys in the NC. Helion is friends with Feyre and Rhys and has visited the NC. It's quite easy for Sarah to stage a little run in. Not to mention Lucien traveled to Day way back when to search for info on how to break the bargain between Rhys and Feyre.

Elain is not a plant but the author told us she needs sunshine, that how she was once so full of light nothing now remains. Then proceeds to reveal Lucien as the heir to Day and later adds on to that how the gates to Elain's mind have sleeping buds. Sleeping buds when she currently resides in the NC. Even later we're told how NC black sucks the life from Elain no matter how much she claimed to be part of the court.

This is the same author who had Feyre paint stars on her drawer for some unknown to her at the time reason. Which led to her finding her home and mate in the NC. This is called a literary device. If you look into them you might enjoy your reading experience a bit more and if you're still struggling to grasp the concept you might be too young for these books.

Also, you realize the Day Court and Spring can still have gardens right? The flowers won't just magically grow on their own without being planted and require zero upkeep? That's like saying Florida has no need for gardeners just because it's warm year round 😂

I actually feel bad for you, how wide a margin you keep missing the mark with.

No cuz in the snowgrave route SOMETHING gay had to have happened between susie and noelle when susie went in her room to save her, yall CANNOT tell me otherwise 😭🙏 like maybe a PECK a lil kiss or somthn

It would fit SO well with Noelle's new "i have to take control" mindset. And since she thinks it's a dream she gotta be like "eh who tf cares" and str8 up kiss the real susie on accident 💔 that would also explain why Susie goes back to chekc up on Noelle, which is pretty small and COULD be read as platonic... but thats a little suspicious. Since it's the most and probably only time Susie has ever shown interest in Noelle in the snowgrave route, so why would she care so much as to even see her again right before they close the fountain? HMM. almost like she's worried Noelle may not remember their little time together and wants to salvage what they have! HMM..

And on the spot im on right now uh Noelle is a bit too happy to have had an entirely horrible dream(which is even MORE evidence)? And cuz of that, Susie asks with a zesty ass smirk "did u have a good dream?" Of course Noelle says it was a nightmare cuz yknow we hurt our poor deer girl 😭 but i feel like Susie was a bit hurt by what she said cuz she doesn't reply after that and goes back into her little mean girl mask she puts on.

Thankfully Noelle says the end part was pretty nice and Susie gets all excited and giddy like damn lesbian 💔 and to top it all off Noelle gets SUPER nervous by that and rushes to get out of the room.

Idk this is my interpretation (whcih is basically canon cuz im always right trust guys 🙏) go with ur own headcanons or somthn i really dont care- but it also like, makes the most sense?! With the way they're acting, the character implications, and of course, since we can't see what did happen, I don't think Toby fox would want us to see them together so soon, or atleast not let us know about it yet. (Plus this would definitely be a wee bit toxic imo, because of Noelle's need for control. Or she'll get alot of character development! Maybe- i love toxic yuri but its gonna hurtt if its my babiess noo ☹️)

Another thing to add, later in the same scene, after Noelle leaves. Susie says "kinda sucks Noelle has to forget too..." that was NOT said in the normal route. Guys. Guys i think im gna 🥺 so yeah take it with a grain of salt, but something definitely happened in that room and imopo i'm taking it as suselle confirmation 😈

like the thing is if someone wants to have a conversation with me about tone in image descriptions i am happy to have that conversation. i have obviously pretty strong feelings about the role of the person-interpreting/translating but i think it's fair that not everyone feels the way i do. i actually often think the faux- or sincerely-"objective" tone of image descriptions is often an incredible tool for comedy! e.g. posts like, my little nephew just gave me what he calls his "duck" [image of a lemon] image id: a lemon.

that's fucking funny! deadpan can be funny! however, sometimes other forms of description are more important. image descriptions MUST BE short,* which means you are limited in the amount of extraneous description you can include. if your description takes more than ten seconds to read out loud you're pushing it.

this can GENUINELY cause problems. the description i wrote about that stupid tswift pic was me actively choosing not to do research and source it more effectively, because to ME, part of what made the op funny was not having any idea tf was going on and that was the part of the experience i wanted to focus on in my description. it doesn't necessarily matter WHAT IS IN the photo, it matters what it is adding to the post (i think all of us now understand that for e.g. memes it's more important to describe the memes and what they're doing in the post than it is to carefully describe the type of armchair someone is sitting in while saying 'why are you booing me. i'm right'.)

so someone else who experienced the post differently - i.e. by recognizing it as from the music video - is going to describe the post differently from someone who would have to do research to source it. they're going to produce two different descriptions. your experience shapes what you understand. which is necessarily going to be subjective! and i get that it's scary to add your own experience into the description, but you ARE ALREADY DOING THAT.

which is to say that i think if someone had added a description about the ME music video that's fairly detailed that would also have been both accurate and funny, but it would have been a different joke. you know? because different people have different experiences of that image.

i do, genuinely, think there is a real issue in things like description in that i do think it is genuinely aversive to expect people to do 10 minutes of research every time they want to write an image description. i also do think that people being wrong in image descriptions is a problem, which is why i do often end up doing research or deciding not to describe certain posts if i can't be sure i know what i'm talking about. but not every post is like informing you about art historical fact or something where it really matters which specific artist produced an image, or if it is a modern reinterpretation, or various other things where you need to be sure you're conveying information that will seriously alter the meaning of a work.

image IDs should accurately describe reality. but like, sometimes people are going to make a mistake. the way you react to mistakes matters! sometimes you just edit a post to fix a typo or to correct a white guy actor you misidentified and i think different people have different ideas about what level of confidence you should be feeling to write descriptions - i've acknowledged different levels of confidence being necessary for description writing in this post! i get it! reasonable people can disagree!

however being like "well you're not wrong but what if you HAD BEEN wrong" ---- i'm going to eat you. i wasn't wrong!! and even if i had been, being wrong isn't the scariest thing in the world to me! seems like it'd suck to live like that though!

*obviously transcriptions of text will be long and transcriptions of text/art mix like comics will be even longer but i think a lot of comic transcriptions are not very good, in that they often don't effectively summarize the art component of the description.

So the thing with Limone, is that they’re a human fucker first and foremost unfortunately. 

Doesn’t mean they won’t have some fun with you, if you have a TF or two. But it’s a lot less likely that they will get fixated on you. (i.e.: starts pestering you 24/7 and takes notes on you in their encyclopedia when back at home like a freak)

(I wont say never, but both the characters they’re fixated on atm are full humans, with very bad awareness- who are also church related in some way, lol)

The sliding scale is essentially:

(Human) on one side and (Inhuman) Plantpeople on the other. Limone is a little off from the plant people position)

Basically, anyone who started out as a human and has gained a Transformation would still read as inherently more human, than inhuman to them, compared to wolf people for example. The more TFs a person has, the more they start to be in a weird, muddy inbetween area (still recognizable as human though and always more human than Limone) - but they might be a little less compelled because of that. That’s due to a few things:

(They subconsciously want to be seen as, treated and held to the same standard as a human. Even when they keep falling short of it lmao.  It’s debatable how successful they are in that regard but they go out of their way to suppress a lot of their instincts.)

Limone is technically a 100% plant person. So imo they end up killing the majority of the people they abduct. Just by virtue of their carelessness, plus the over exhaustion due to sex and nectar overdoses)

Limone vaguely knows that something is wrong with them, but isn't aware of the what or why. They know how they *should* be and they know what they want to be. But they dont really fit into either category.  Too human to be like every other plant person npc, yet not human enough to truly fit in as one. So If they can't be what they physically are, and they feel this draw to people, then that must mean that they are a human. or at least a person. maybe?

They aren’t though. 

Emotions overwhelm them, because theyre not really supposed to experience them and even then, the range that they have (so far?) is limited. (And they cope with it by self harming; they abuse pain to force their body to overwrite any overwhelming/unpleasant emotions they’re feeling)

They pride themself on their self-control compared to regular plantpeople and the fact that they don’t rape or kill humans but Limone arguably, encroaches on that territory. It just veers on the side of dubcon rather than noncon. So it might be more gradual than outright force, but they keep poking, prodding and pestering until, Luci for example, gives in. They have a predatory/sadistic streak in them no matter how much they like to think that they de-fanged themself or are better than other plantpeople. They ofc wouldn't like it at all when if its put like that.

Then there's the obvious physical differences: They can morph their body to a degree, they have yellow skin, black sclera- yellow eyes, a black tongue and sharp teeth (even when they can rip them out and regrow them). They can’t die, can squish their own memories out of existence like pimples, can manipulate vines and grow plants easily. Substances don’t work on them. They wouldn’t even need to eat if they hadn’t made it so they could.

Because of (gestures at previous chunk of text) all of that, they tend to most easily grow fixated on humans with no TFs. Because they idolize humanity somewhat. Not to an unhealthy degree. They just adore humans and are fascinated by them. So infinitely complex and bright. No one human quite like the other.

You’re lucky though, because they are a very hedonistic person (and a whore) so they like to have fun. Wherever they remember you after or actively pursue you is a different story though.

Okay enough explanations- Time for dirty talk:

Yes, Limone would have a lot of fun teasing you. They’ve made themself lactate before, they know how agonizing it can be. How uncomfortable it is to run around with plump, full tits, practically begging to be milked.

🎄They're getting the hugest, fluffiest, best smelling tree. It takes a lot of time, effort, and swearing for Steve and Bucky to get it to the car and then to the living room. The decoration process is going for days, has everyone involved, and - even if Bucky will never admit it - enjoying it.

🎄Peter making the hugest presents list (with daily updates) that has everyone rolling their eyes and quickly becomes a meme. Bucky likes to go and read it for giggles like morning news "What's new on The List today?". No one, including Peter, expected Tony Santa to get every.single.thing from it. Except maybe a "real life Gizmo", but the plushie works. "Thanks fuck, we already have one gremlin here" Bucky mutters, earning a signature judging look from Steve.

🎄Peter also goes Christmas shopping with Steve, to get more presents for Tony and presents for Bucky. This one goes surprisingly smooth, with both enjoying it. Bucky accuses Steve in bribing the kid with hot cocoa and a movie with popcorn in the mall's movie theater. But he can't prove anything.

🎄Peter gets a set of charcoal pencils for drawing, and Bucky teases him that he did, in fact, get coal for Christmas. Next morning he wakes up with a charcoal mustache.

🎄Mark and Dum-E get their own very special Santa hat (Mark), antlers (Dum-E), and Christmas bandanas (both). As well as wrapped toys and treats under the tree and in the stockings. Yes, they have their own personalized ones.

🎄Peter gets very inspired by Home Alone. Unfortunately for him, it's not the wet bandits but one of Tony's business partners who comes for a meeting and gets a bucket of chocolate poured over his head (and a very expensive peacoat) after opening the door. When Steve asks Bucky why he keeps chuckling the whole evening, he just genuinely says, "I'm just so glad it wasn't me"

🎄Tony cooks the whole Italian traditional Christmas Eve dinner and then spends half of the night wrapping the presents and trying to make them fit under the tree. So Christmas morning (Peter wakes him up at five) has him yawning, armed with a bucket-sized mug of coffee, but really happy.

🎄Bucky is included in the family Christmas card photoshoot. And no, he's not crying, he's just suddenly having allergies to this...sweater, yes, Steve, nothing else.

I think the biggest thing I've learnt from the more critical side of MHA is: don't let your favoritism affect your story. I think it's natural that you're gonna like more characters than others. But if it's like noticeable to a point where the audience sees it, it's a big problem. Or if the character is a fan favorite, they'll praise it to sky heaven. The fact that Izuku VS Shigaraki has been oddly side lined so much in favor of Bakugo VS OFA or him rescuing All Might is... weird to me. Like, I get it. He was dead for a year in our time. But... this IS Izuku's story not Bakugo's. Even if Bakugo is a deuteragonist, he's still not the MAIN protagonist. Shouldn't we be shifting more or less to Izuku VS Shigaraki? MHA has been building up their final fight for 8-9 years, and we're oddly all focused on AFO and Bakugo? And for AFO's backstory, I care less for the potato man. Shigaraki is the villain of MHA, not potato man. Such as Izuku is the protagonist of the story, Bakugo isn't. And it's so baffling to me to see MHA twt praise this series to high heaven and just don't oddily notice that Izuku is just oddily fucking quiet through out this fight?? I know he's focused on stopping Shigaraki, but nothing???? Like the Toga and Uraraka and Todoroki Family arcs got all the attention they deserved, so why tf isn't Izuku and Shigaraki?? I understand they were gonna be last, it IS the final battle after all, but it just seems it's gonna go downhill from there.

Plus, how tf is Izuku gonna be able to save Shigaraki?? Izuku is at his witt's end, and Bakugo said he would take care of AFO. Because if it's ACTUALLY Bakugo & Izuku VS Shigaraki. I'll just- I'll be so done. I get the whole "Izuku doesn't have to do everything on his own" but like- Shigaraki literally KILLED Bakugo and got revived from his goddamn blood exploding. (That shit is still funny to me.) like good Lord, can Izuku just have HIS moment??? If all of the cool power ups and cool moments go to Bakugo instead of Izuku, and Bakugo somehow saves the day.

The fucking ending is gonna be ruined by favoritism. Again, this is just an IF. But I felt crazy reading twt's and no one noticing Izuku hasn't said anything of a) Bakugo being brought back to life b) or just reacting to anything. It just seems like Izuku is just there as a device to carry us towards the ending, at this point.

Mind-boggling how people will look at this shit and still say Horikoshi doesn't favor Bakugou. Like, what? He is 1-v-1-ing the big bad of the series. The villain who killed almost every past OFA user (would also like to add that these are the same users he insulted and looked down on, so if he is the one to finish AFO, that's a slap in the face to every single one of them). The man who incapacitated All Might. The Demon King who's ruled the underbelly of Japan for the past 200 years.

And you mean to tell me that Katsuki Bakugou of all people is his final boss? That's just embarrassing for AFO tbh.

But the fact of the matter is, yeah Izuku's fight with Shigaraki should have been the main event. Instead, it's being treated as a side quest. Hell, it's being treated as less than a side quest as both Uraraka & Toga and the Todorokis & Dabi were given more attention.

It's sad, not only for Izuku but for Shigaraki too. Horikoshi was so close to making him a complex villain, only for all of his character progression from Deika to go down the toilet. He can't be saved because he's been written to be so completely detached from his humanity.

In general, Izuku and Shigaraki should have had more moments together throughout the series. This interaction between them is meaningless because Izuku doesn't understand Shigaraki enough to save him. It's why he's getting frustrated because there's really no feasible way for him to save Tomura. He isn't Eri or Kota who were just kids in danger and who wanted to be rescued.

I hate to say it, but Izuku hasn't had enough development to be able to save Shigaraki. It's not his fault (it's Hori's), but it's true. For him to understand Tomura, he needed to broaden his worldview and Horikoshi hasn't allowed him to do that.

It's an utter disservice to both characters

"I can't read big paragraphs/walls of text bc of ADHD/some other nd condition" I'm truly sorry about that! That sucks! But also authors who write fiction or other creative works are not obligated to cater to you! What they are doing is creating art, not content.

I agree making things largely more accessible is a good thing, and I also agree making things more spaced out might be good for online articles and such that convey specific information. It's definitely okay to have preferences based on what's comfortable to you. But it's a wild thing to ask someone to compromise their artistic vision or discard what might be their preferred stylistic choices or even just say otherwise gramatically correct longform prose is bad because "I don't like long paragraphs :^("

There are lots of post-hoc tools that make reading on screens easier that don't compromise the author's style choices. You can change fonts to something more friendly to your disability. You can change line spacing. You can change the color of the screen background. The world is truly your oyster in terms of reading on screens.

And sometimes you just may not be able to engage with a text that you might otherwise find compelling! And that's fine !!! Not liking an author's style is a completely legitimate reason to not read a work. It's not up to them to make it more palatable to you. You are simply not their target readership, I'm afraid.

Would you ask a painter to change the value or brightness of their colors because they give you a headache? No, you simply decide you dislike that particular piece of work and move on. So why do this to another creative working in a different medium. Unfortunately, art is not something we can always make completely accessible to everyone in its original, intended form. Which is why, as I've said, there are post-hoc tools to help with this.

Anyway. I have ADHD too, tf. I don't write to reach as many people as possible; I write because there's something wrong with me and I have a compulsion to do so, and I take my craft seriously! I'm always looking to improve! But also I revel in being bloviating and long-winded as much as I love snappy action. Everything you see in my work, from sentence structure to paragraph length, is a stylistic choice that I choose based on mood and the information I want to convey. There is no wrong or right way to write. Period. End of sentence. And if it doesn't jive with you, that's your perogative. If you prefer short paragraphs for whatever reason, you're completely valid. But that does not mean short paragraphs good, long paragraphs bad and vice versa.

Instead, ask yourself, does what I've created convey what I want it to in the way I want it to? Is what I'm reading having the sort of impact I think the author is hoping to impart? How would what I'm reading change how I recieve it (regarding emotions and implications for the narrative, not just whether it gives you a headache or not) had the author tweaked its method of delivery just so.

Literary style is also part of the art, not simply the means of delivering content. Fiction is not simply a movie delivered through words instead of images. It's a medium all its own. And, well, sometimes it might be uncomfortable, even physically, to read! Thinking about that big wall of text run on sentence from Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian. Nobody likes the sensation of reading that, because it's a bitch to read! But it only adds to the chaoticness of the imagery presented within the actual content of the text. It's the overwhelming grotesque nature of having to read that beast that adds to the overwhelming whirlwind grotesqueness of the scene.

Ugh! Anyway. Please, believe me, pushing your limits is fine sometimes. I totally get if you don't want to do that with your free online fanfictions that you read to unwind! That's perfectly understandable! But if you're serious about art and craft, unfortunately sometimes you need to go outside your comfort zone. You might have to read something over and over before you get or absorb all of it. That doesn't make you dumb. Trust me, that's part of the process.
